Yum Money Hound
got this lure to test and review so i'm posting it here for you guys too:

My first thought when i saw the yum money hound was, 'what a great idea for a lure...a classic known fish catcher type lure, now weedless!' You really can't get anymore weedless, the hook is completely hidden and it's slippery shaped like a little hotdog. If you like fishing top water in areas where there is thick surface structure (where you'd normally use weedless frogs) this lure would make a great alternative weapon for you. You get a more erratic side to side motion than you would from a frog, it's bigger than most frog lures, and it's much heavier than most frog lures if you're interested in casting further, this thing flies! Unfortunately i haven't had a strike on this lure yet, but the water is getting very cold and at this time of the year i wouldn't typically be using top water lures anyway so i don't believe this has anything to do with the money hound's fish attracting ability; watching it move in the water, i don't think it will have any problem enticing a bite. It moves very similar other non-weedless 'walk the dog' style lures with two little differences. It sometimes rolls when you twitch it and it has a bit more of a bobbing motion as it darts side to side; both of these movements could be a bite trigger on any given day though! With that being said the lure's ability to 'hook up' might be my biggest concern and i haven't been able to test that yet (i probably won't be able to get a fish to hit this lure until spring time, so i will definitely update my review at that time). It seems that there is sufficient room for the hook to pop out and penetrate, but we'll see. I gave this lure 4 out of 5 stars because i think it should come packed with at least one hook specifically designed to be used with it. Instead it comes with no hooks and suggests a 7/0 widegap. For me it was a bit annoying to find a good fit and i still think there could be a better hook designed for it specifically. In summary i'd say it's a great idea and a good lure, but could use some tweaking to make it a great lure!

Why aren't you fishing?
