How do you fish with it, what is your technique? What color and what time of day, and what's the weather like?

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
I'm going to have to say soft plastics. The reason for this is because they're sooooo effective and there's so many different presentations you can do with them. Anything from a texas rigged crawbug to a floating trick worm

mostly rubber worms, but I also favor a #9s Rapala as a top water/stick bait. Both have produced large fish for me consistently.

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
I tend to use topwater popping lures but only because thats what i have had the most luck using. But if thats not working i tend to go for the plastic lizards texas rigged.

. 1. 3" tube jig rigged Texas style without a weight. Fish it in on edges of grass, it's a killer. 2. Stick bait, like a rapala or redfin. 3. Rattle trap. It's a great search bait.

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
I use little fishie jigs. White is the color of choice, tail color varies but red is best. Late evening or night is best. This is a jig that is best used in hot or warm weather. I like to fish a slow retrieve. Good luck!

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
I like using strike king spinner baits. chartreuse and fire tiger are my favorite colors and i use these all the time. bump them off logs and other structure to get it going in an erratic type motion. when that doesn't work, i use a pumpkin colored worm and work it through weed lines. i fish all weather conditions except in thunderstorms, so i am of no help there. i also don't fish for bass at night. that is when i go hunting for those elusive 60 pound cats.

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
in clear water...bouncing them of the bottom works and a medium speed retrieval also works very well...if you are looking for 5-10 lbs. bass you may want to try the bass assasign but the largest ive caught on the panfish is 12 lbs.

Re:What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
Give me three spinnerbaits, and a few banjo minnows for trailers, and I will boat over 20 bass in two hours on a lake that will remain unnamed. One dark spinnerbait with a little orange in it, a chatruse and white spinner, and a white spinner with a blood red hook. Easy to catch everything from a big sunfish to monster pike and muskie. Even a walleye or two...

Your damn x-rap and crankbaits are right up there with my spinnerbait in its effectiveness, just can't bring myself to give up a good thing.

Re: What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
In southern Indiana if you take a 4 inch neon green tailed black worm prefurably mister twister of berkley power bait and rip off some of the black to make a 2 1/2 - 3 inch worm with the neon tail you can put this on a small jig head and we use this lure year round and catch everything from a few perch to bluegill and crappie and BIG bass. If you look at my page all the crappie on the stringer were caught on this one lure same with the bluegill. This is a family secret so don't let other people know who fish the same lake as you or you might not have to many fish after awhile!!!

I mainly fish small shallow ponds. My favorite lure is a buzzbait, I use from 5am-10am before the sun gets to hot and there is no more topwater bite.

Re: What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
The Poor Boys pink and blue Goby has been treating me verrrrrry well this weekend. Lost 2 smallies in the 17-19" range, netted one at 19", lost one that had to be 22+, and a lot lot lot of keepers in the net. Largemouth, smallmouth, sheephead, whatever :) my new ultralight rod has been weighed down considerably lately with the fruits of drop-shot labor.

If you've got deep water, do it :)

ah, that is the question, isn't it? Deep here is about 20' (here being Erie, PA right now :P) 15-20' is usually enough... 10' is pushing it - only because if there's only 10' of water to be had, you're probably just as likely to find big fish hanging out in the shallows all day.

Re: What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
I'll go down my 3 favorite baits for my 3 favorite species.....Wallys,Smallies, and the mighty Muskie. My all time favorite way to fish walleyes is with crankbaits (trolling or casting).. What crankbait depends on the depth and fish aggressiveness.. (the new slashbaits from Rapala are awesome). Smallies, well thats a tough one because I like a lot of different baits, but I would have to say topwater for the show. Pop'rs, are probably my favorite.. That leaves the mighty muskie....If I had one bait to throw one bait for the rest of my days it would have to be a black bucktail with the biggest silver blades I could find.. I've got one that has caught 3 fish over 50", but thats TOP SECRET : ).....

Re: What lure, or type of lures are you most confident using?
Imake my own spoons I mainlyt use them and not much else.

they work quite well, I go with my buddy and his hundreds of rapala's

and mepps and me with my small bag and I'll at least match his catches

if not beat him. last week 18 small mouths, 3 walleyes and 1 pike all on my
[ all in a 6 hours]
spoons. to bad I'm not allowed to sell on this site or I would have some very

happy new fishing buddies.
