Mustad Activate. My Son and I have been doing some tests with different attractants and Mustad Activate by far outperforms all the rest. Our latest test was with Berkly Gulp. I always give him first choice and he always chooses Activate because it has been preforming so well. I fish from the front of the boat and he from the back. We ease the boat along the shore and being at the front, I get first shot at the fish. We both will use the same lure and our presentation is almost identical. My Son caught 2 fish to every one I caught even though I was getting first shot at the fish and I was also was reapplying Gulp every 15 minutes to his every 30 minutes. My Son is 13 and once again he was rather proud of himself for out fishing me which doesn't happen very often. After a couple of hours, I switched back to the Activate and I started catching 2 fish to every one he caught but we were then both using the same attractant. As with the other attractants we have tested, we not only tried them one lake but we try them on 2 other lakes and a river. Each time, the results are the same. Mustad Activate is the top of the heap when it come to fish attractants. In the last 2 months, we have tried not only Gulp, but 4 other brands in spray, gel, and scent marker forms. The results with all of them were the similar with the performance of Mustad Activate far out preforming the others.
