Does anyone know if we are allowed to fish in ponds?

No fish caught in fish hatchery waters, fish culture stations, "Fish & Pay" Lakes, private pond or fishing preserves may be submitted. Furthermore, no fish captured using unconventional methods and/or during spawning is eligible.
If your to busy to fish, then your to dam busy!

how is anyone going to different,i know myself that i am an honest person and hold to the rules, but unfortunatley whose going to know any different if someone cstches a fish illeagally, thats why i question the validity of this contest,i wont mention names but a while back a person entered a smallmouth and won money,BUT if you look at the pics closely, anyone that is an avid fisherman can tell that the fish had been dead for awhile, especially a smallmouth when the fins turn red and loose color it has been dead for quite some time,i dont know how people can sleep at night,i guess thats why i have not won anything yet,i have caught some pretty good smallies that would have shattered the standing record, but not during the smallmouth period,i could have kept it alive for two days then entered it but i am not dishonest.

i think we need to clarify the rules for ponds. some are on private property and some have public access. the pivate ponds can be tricky because some land in florida, texas or even ontario has many lakes with private access, meaning the land owners only have access. some of the fishing in these ponds are fantastic, they are untouched. it would be very hard to enforce the no fishing in private ponds due to its based on trust. so in my opinion pivate ponds should be allowed as long as the fish are not fed and reproduce naturally. hope to hear more feedback on this topic .

Greg as you stated "it would be very hard to enforce the no fishing in private ponds due to its based on trust"
How could we enforce the following - "the fish are not fed and reproduce naturally"?

it would be hard to enforce the "feeding naturally and reproduction" . hope fully we use some sort of trust in the process. what I'm thinking about is trout ponds not one that you pay but private ones with lots of trout feeding heavily on pellet of food . they are breed to grow fast and big! just like some salmon farm on the west coast. to me they are more of a science experiment than the naturall fish that swim and feed on their own.
