Newbie, Any slot tourney question?
Hello, looking forward to competing with you guys on bountyfishing. Before i get started and make a fool of my self, for the any slot tourney's like the 18" and 25" ones in may, Is it any game species? Are weakfish ( yellowmouth ) trout also included? Im assuming if someone catches a redfish or whatever they're going after, it's the first person who post a fish closest to 18" ? In florida our minimum on red fish is 18" so would it still count if i posted a picture of a fish thats 17" ?

Thanks for any help,

Jeter.

Re: Newbie, Any slot tourney question?
Welcome! ANYTHING (Species) IS GAME! Closest to 18, 25 wins 1st place. 17 could count if nobody gets that close to 18. Which I doubt. Good luck. We call those Sand Trout here in Texas.

Re: Newbie, Any slot tourney question?
I have a newbier question: So, when they say "any species", I assume that this only applies to the list of species they have on the schedule? If that's the case, I don't think I'll be able to ever compete in an "any species" tourney, as the biggest fish I can catch on that list is a smallmouth bass. We have other fish that get much bigger than that, but they are not on the list. (i.e.- chain pickerel, Atlantic strurgeon, brook trout).

Any species means just that. No limitations on the type of fish you go fishing for. Carp, Shad, and Suckers can compete with Bass, Catfish, and Salmon etc.( I could go on for ever) Next week the length is 25" inches... Good Luck!

Thanks, Gmoney. That's good to know1
I have another question, now that I know I can compete: When it says for example, "slot 25" ", does that mean the fish has to be at least 25" to be submitted?

Re: Newbie, Any slot tourney question?
Yes! Submit whatever you catch though- Who knows if everyone is going to submit an exact 18" or 25" fish. WHO EVER GETS CLOSEST TO 18"/25" WINS 1ST PLACE!
