Very impressive catch, but i was wondering, you lads catch alot of big bows, are these fish escapies from a cage culture site, and if so, are the fish triploids? Cause it looks like a big female to me.

Definitely a triploid, regular bows don't get that big. Would love to see someone create a triploid bass...

Yes, this is probably a triploid. As most people know though, triploids do occure naturally in nature. The previous 42lb rainbow record in bell island Alaska was a sterile sea run steelhead (triploid style).
