Is there any Minnesota fisherman or anyone else out there that got out for the walleye opener? I was lucky enough to get out for about 4 hours last night. I didn't quite catch a limit but had a great time even though I was fishing from shore. I landed five walleye, 2 pike and lost one walleye as I was lifting it out of the water. The pike were small, less than a pound, but put on quite a show as both jumped out of the water. Which got the attention of all the other fisherman. The walleye on the other hand were very nice. I landed 2 just over 16 inches, one 17.5 incher, one 23 incher and a 27.25 incher. Made for a great weekend.
