Hey everyone, I am a quite young fisherman who is loocking for good fishing spots aroung montreal and surroundings Maybe closer to the Fleuve St-laurent or richelieu river. I use to have a really good fishing spot in Sabrevois but some poluting JERKS messed it all up . I use to catch pike BIG bass even walleye but now the only thing there is stupid small pearch and sunfish. Not that I dont like to fish the specie but I miss larger fish. So plz guys on bounty HELP me out!! Oh important fact... I live in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu but for fishing, I am up to go down to mexico if it's required =D

by the way, head to Mexico if you want HUGE bass :P Don't know if you were serious on that one but Falcon lake is doing AMAZING right now

You are surrounded by the best smallie fisheries!!! Champlain,Richelieu,The FLEUVE as well as all the Laurentian lakes within 2 hours of you.....Enjoy

You'll probably want to get out on a boat to find smallies this time of the year to be able to reach the deeper spots, you can still catch some the from the shore at the Soulanges canal which has a huge dropoff along it's shorelines, as well as the rocky side of the pointe des cascades pier. Both have very clear water, so you ca see them cruising. You might also want to try Lake Champlain, it's closer to your area.
