In our continuing effort to enhance BountyFishing's feature set our development team has added the following:
When a member receives an internal message or reply a notification message will be sent to the recipient's email address on file notifiying him/her that a new message is available in their "My Messages" section. Please make sure that any SPAM/JUNK filters allow our email messages through.
To turn the feature off simply go to your profile and "Edit My Personal Profile".
You may have already noticed we also have a message indicator at the top right of every page next to your nickname when you're logged in. This is yet another convenience feature we added so you don't miss any important messages from your fishing buddies.
When convenient for you please take the time to fill your personal information (address, tel, etc) in your personal profile accurately as this is the information we use if you are a lucky Bounty winner.
We have many more enhancements in store for you down the road so please don't hesitate to communicate any feature requests that you might feel is benificial to our community. They may already be in the works!
We are proud of our site and are dedicated to making it the best fishing community on the world wide web!
NO! Please don't do that. It gets REALLY annoying when you havnt check for a week. Then you have something like 20 messages in your inbox.
remember not everyone will see this thread and wont know how to stop it.

I think there will be a mix of people who want to receive email notifications and those that don't. I, for one, think that this is a good idea. I like knowing when I have messages in Bounty, and if someone has twenty messages waiting for him or her by the end of the week, then they just need to have less friends, or get ready to hit the delete button a few times. It might be an inconvenience, but that also just means you will visit a great site a couple more times in a week. I realize that this is just my opinion, but this site gives me a way to stay in touch with the only fishing buddy I have, and I like knowing when I get messages.
