Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
We are interested in gauging appetite for an additional tournament structure (details below). If anyone is interested in competing in a Beta Tournament for LMB South please add your name to this thread (you are not committing to anything). If you would like to be placed on the official List please email us at info@bountyfishing.com and we will get back to you with further details.

Thank you,

Admin

5th $100

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
In these hard times and crappy economy I couldn't do it. But what ever happened to the 1000.00 tourneys for 20.00 registration . It seems like there are more people now entering than 2 years ago when the pay out was bigger.I'm not bitching or anything just can't afford to pay that kind of entry fee. Good luck to all that can ! Re: Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I will try to elaborate… The $1,000 Tourneys @ $19 were antiviral (members refused to tell anyone). In order to grow participation the format was tweaked.
With respect to the above proposed tournament structure, the assumption is fewer people will put up $100 to compete therefore fewer competitors. The tournament might be limited to 20 members... Anyone confident that they can hold top five might be interested...
Note: The proposed format would not replace the current LMB South format. It would be “an additional tournament structure”.

Re: Re: Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
Totally understandable ! It is just easier for me to justify a 20 over a 100 . I think it would be a great new tourney . And maybe depending on when the tourny was I might be able to come up with an extra 100 but....Keep the great new ideas rolling in for us ! It is almost a new year can't wait to see what you all have in store for us !Thanks Bounty ! Bassindow

Pete you're right! Now I'd go for $100 entry for $5000 or better...just have to make some friends down South and go visit!;)

BF can only move as fast as potential sponsors. If anyone would like to fast-track this and bring a large sponsor aboard a 7.5% "Bounty" would be in order.

Re: Re: Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I agree Richard. Plus even to cover the payout you'd need 21 entrants to just break par.....
I hope to one day see company's like rapala and shimano jump on and sponsor the best fishing site on the net! Step up before it's too late!

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I'd be all about it in the North. I think I have 2 or 3 friends that would be competing as well.... If they didn't on their own, I'd coerce them into it. :) There are MANY, MANY, MANY weekend tournaments out there (the ones I fish) that have a worse payback than what you are currently proposing. Ask the LMB North folks the same thing and see which group you get a bigger response from. I suppose you'd have to wait until next spring though now....

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
Yes I'd put up $100 for a Central tourney structured like that. Hey there is a kick a@@ factor involved when you put up $100...I'd surely be bumpin fishin holes to get the Bounty at that stake! This week I'm not chasin Crappy..If they aren't at my spot I throw out my other rod and catch somethingelse. It's like I don't try to hard....
Richard I like how you used "antiviral" in your sentence...pretty clever!lol luv it!

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I like where this is going. I would be interested in a Central LMB tourney like this next spring. I would like to see Bass Pro Shops jump onboard. I seen an online affiliate offer that BPS will pay 5% from every sale that comes from BF. I buy a lot from their site and would be willing to go through BF to make future purchases.

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I think $100 is a bit too high but if it was for central or north I would most likely be in.

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I think a LM North tourny of this structure would work it would probably fill up fast especially if there was a cap on the number of particapants allowed I'd definately enter it maybe even a little bigger $200 entry 20 entrants allowed payout 2000, 1000, 500, 250, 125 or if there's enough support keep it at $100 but allow 40 to allow for bigger payouts I'm not sure how many members there are on this site but it shouldn't be too hard to get 20 or 40 to sign up

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
kinda depend on what month but you can count me in for the LMB south.

P.S - are we talking a week tourney X $100 or a one day tourney X $100

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
Well I think its a great idea....but if the prize structure stays the same i would expect a limited field of competitors. Placing 5th and getting your enrty back is not bad!! it could be better but not bad.
I would be in for other species as well.

Re: Largemouth Bass South Beta Tournament
I would be into this format for Lm North..Smallies maybe too and what about another pike tourny ..I would even go with that format on that too...but I think 5th should be more than its enrty fee... with gas and time too..5th should at least put you ahead in $$ by the end of the week..

fish on...

thats understandable but which format would have the legal issues the original one at the start of the thread or kb98's format basing it on number of entrants because I like kb98's
