Re:fly fishing
There are no tricks to learning fly fishing, or anything else in fishing. TIME on the water is what you need. Its not hard, but like anything else, just takes some practce. First learn to CAST. If you need a starting place, get a copy of Mel Kriegor's video "The Essence of Flycasting." After you learn the basics of casting, you can then start fishing, and begin a life-long learning experience. Read a lot! Fish with those who know and can teach you hands-on.
