Here in new mexico (south area this eirly october its getting to dang cold to be fishing for crappie and small mouth . there hunkered down like deer in a wind storm .

I think I'm right there with ya...pretty chilly here too! I haven't been out for them yet this week just playin with lil trout on way to work. I will be out for SM this weekend however while I play with Eye's! Neighbor just caught a 30" 9llb Eye night fishin for kitties! It's time to play at my Fall holes! GL kiddo!

Cold front, winds and lack of activity level few small fish here and there!!!nothing to brag about I am goin walleye next, had it with the rest..

so much rain and the temps are going down every day here,
keep saying that I'm going for some nite fishing but never get
around to it, maybe catch a break tomorrow and get out .I do
have a nice walleye spot and have never fish it at nite so maybe
saturday will be the the day.

Well it has been 95 * here and the crappie are waiting for some cold so send it down. I will be trout fishing on Sunday. So you will see how that goes. I caught 15 last weekend but they were all 14.5 inch range .So this weekend I hope some big ones are roming .Good luck all! Bassindow

Florida ,It reached 94* today but the heat index is what it feels like with the humidity (111)yes very miserable .we caught 57 fish today 50 were trout and all small ! :(

Yep, you said it cacabait, over on this side of the state we're getting pretty cold as well. I am not in the tournament but I tried for smallmouth yesterday on the Rio Grande and only got pike and trout. As for crappie, I hear they're biting in the southern part of the state.

hey fishmannewmexico : this comming up spring when it warms up more in likely my wife is going to want to visit her sisters that live in A B Q we need to hook up i want to try my cacabait in the rio Grande see if it can dig up some big cats .

Sarasota Bay water was 86 degrees in the morning and was 89 degrees in the afternoon.Heat index 109.It's hard fishing when the water is this warm.Ya'll need to blow a little harder up north so we can get some cooler weather down here in the south!!

it was hot!!!!!! fished from 6:30 a.m. til 5:30 p.m. lots of fish but not the ones. fished from 3ft to 14ft of water

Yeah it's extrememly hot heat index of 105 here also. Highs of like 92-96 everyday. We need soem cool weather the reds have been awesome. But the trout have been tough.

We certainly didn't have any problem with heat here, maybe lack of it if anything. This was the tuffest week of fishing we had in quite a while here.
