Crappie Fishing
I live in Northern Alabama and I hear all the time about the great Crappie fishing around the area. Sure I've caught a few here and there while bass fishing but I want to learn how to catch these elusive critters. If there are any Crappie fisherman out there I would ask if you could offer up some tricks of the trade. Thanks, and good fishing.

Re: Crappie Fishing
well here in the south area New Mexico we find a bush or tree or even a dock that has deep water tie off must be quiet bait fishing for crappie use a sinker on the end of your line space 2 hooks about 8 " from the sinker and each hook minnows work very good in the spring we have found a bright color power bait for trout work good in the fall chill let your line out tell you feel it hit the bottom pull up about 6 " and wait very still and quiet . now as far as jigs there is a verious size's and shapes they all have been proven to work from one time or another find you one or two drop to the bottom and slowly jig it up slowly with a slight jerking anyway thats how we do it here .
