Stumbled across that video on a Muskie forums page a few days ago, I don’t know who these guys are but I could sadly see myself trying something silly like that, LOL.
It reminded me of “gull fishing” some years back.
I was jigging Walleyes with my son Alex in Andrews Bay, we had a goofy gull hanging around our boat for a good while.
I think this gull was working this hump waiting for his chance to snag the stray Walleyes that took more than 10 seconds to kick back down.
Next thing I know Alex is lazily reeling in a dinky fish and this gull bounced on it, grabbing the small eye t-bone style and starts back peddling up and away from the boat.
I laughed so hard I almost pist myself as the gull starts taking drag and the battle was on!
Neither Alex nor the gull where giving in, and the fight lasted a good minute and a half as the gull pounded harder and Alex tightened his drag
The vision of my son fighting this gull is burned in my memories, wish I had it on tape!
