I've never caught a black drum I wonder how common they are for my area. I can catch reds all year long in the same area so maybe the black drum dont chill in that area I fish. Throw me some tips and hints about black drum I'd appreciate it.

here we have an annual drum run starts about february and ends in late march at that time i believe they migrate from the ocean to the bays to deposit there eggs in the shallow bays could be wrong but either way they come in masses and is an easy way to catch a nice big fish besides the run find you some oyster shells no matter how shallow the water is and theres a good possibility theres a big drum in there i caught a 52" drum in about 2 feet of water i will get that picture up later huge fish.
