ATTN: Boater's World Gift Card Holders
Posted Wed Sep 3, 2008 5:23 pm ATTN: Boater's World Gift Card Holders
We have some good news and some bad news. Bad news first: The Boater's World $10 denomination gift cards are defective and most likely will not work when presented at retail. Unfortunately this applies to the replacement $10 cards you have been sent as well. Boater's World sincerely apologizes for the error and any inconvenience this may have caused you. Now the Good news: to make up for the mistake, Boater's World will immediately be sending out $25 valid gift cards to all those who participated in the Boater's World Tournaments promotion.
Once again, these cards may not be used at www.boatersworld.com but may be used for catalogue orders. To request a catalogue or to make a catalogue order, please contact Boater's World Catalogue Sales at 1-800-826-BOAT. Mention that you have a gift card before making your order.
Thank you for your patience.

Does anyone know if the catalogue is much different than the web site?

Fishslayer, I am pretty sure it is the same. I used an item number off the website and found that it was the same product when I called the mail/catlogue order number.

Why should you get a new one.... the old ones work!! You can not purchase over internet but only at store in person...you have to call customer service to get your old card activated! Not hard and it works!

we should get a new one because admin said sometime back in sept that new ones for $25 instead of the original $10 would be mailed then if they only have to if they want to hold true to their word. that is there call. it's there business and they decide how they want to treat their coustomers

I was a Boaters World customer before the card problems but now I am not. I didn't like the way the Store Manager handled the problem at the store I went to or the way Boaters World handled it period. I will not ever be back even if they did send a good card.

No eyes where I'm from MA but I got a few spares around here somewhere. Hee Hee
I had to fill up the freezer so have been hunting and left little time for fishing. Come January I will be heading north for some hardcore icefishing. Its hardcore enough around here but a little more rough up there and bigger fish. We have ice on our lakes now and of course lots of snow. Probably go steelheading in rivers at end of December.
We are all good here. Thanks for your kind words. You make this site that much better with your cheery personality. Happy Holidays to you and your family as well.
