If you could only choose 1 lure for Largemouth bass what would it be, and in what color?
Mine would be a white booyah spinnerbait.

Kamakazee 5.5" golden shiner. These swimbaits are out of control, big bass slam these baits so damn hard.

How r you rigging those swimbaits? What size hook?

sorry it took so long to get back... you are right rigging them is a bit of a trick, if you use the weighted gamakatsu 5/0 or bigger you will tear the front of the bait. so i use the Zoom Horny Toad frog hook which has a wire screw in at the front which prevent from tearing. then i attach a DOA Lures clip on weight low on the hooks apex to prevent the bait from spinning which happens a lot with Strike Kings new bait the Shadilicious, if the bait spins the hook is too small or the weights it too close to the front of the hook. i like to use an 8/0 the best is from Kamakazee. Kamakazee Dave in my opinion also has the best hollow body baits, also gary yamamato believes the same.
check out his web site. baits are cheap and work!
if you want to save $ you can use the spring in a pen as the screw in piece. clamp it on an 8/0 with a clamp on weight and slow roll it..
ps that is one friggen lunker you are holding was she over 15?

Grape shad culprit with a 1/8 oz black bullet head and a 2/0 tru-turn hook weedless rig.I caught bass to 10 pounds on this worm in several different areas with water color not affecting it's effectiveness.

gotta agree with Mike(martycoo) "senkos" they are top for me as well!!I have caught bass in all conditions with them even in dead of winter under 2 feet of ice...just crazy bass!!!
Many other bait come to mind as well but nothing like that thump on your line and you know he's on, set the hook with confidence and fish on every time !!wacky or weedless they work!!

How do you hook your 12"? I have thought about going bigger and 4" will get you 3-4 lbers but since going to 5-7" just that 3" difference has brought bigger fish last week I lost what would have been my personal best but had it moving and somehow it through the hook!!!! Should never have beening using floro for bass but I find Im getting more hits but dont like the stretch at all!!!! To many lost fish with floro, with braid I can be more confident in the hookset plus I find with senkos that braid is more visible and I see more strikes!

only 1 - thats a tough choice - going back to basics, the K&E Polwjocky worm, prerigged in purple with white spots. Seems there is always a kid in the paper someplace that caught a 10 lb er in the local pond on one.
Otherwise, I agree -senkos in greem pumpkin anything, 5".

When targeting big bass you need big bait it is that simple. This is not to say big fish dont eat small bait, but it is saying that small fish do not eat big bait. You have to break yourself free from throwing small baits, it is an addictive habit, and you have to train yourself not to bring little bank rat baits if you want to catch big fish. It has taken me over 4 months of throwing nothing but swimbaits all day everyday training myself to fish for large bass. Florida LMB get big by eating big fish, they conserve their energy, when the water is 90 you will not see a 10 plus pound lunker swimming down 2 inch shad. Tournaments have trained me to get 5 fish then cull. Bounty has reinforced the Bill Siementel principal of Go Big or Go Home. Big baits big fish, leave the flukes and 4"grubs home get a fish that you will remember for the rest of your life. Anyone can catch a 15 inch bass. You will feel free and rewarded when you land a lunker of you life. Best of luck.

You're totally right about the big lures for monster bass for the most part. I think flipping, lipless cranks (traps), and other "reaction" baits can still get those monsters, though. I'm a regular five fish tournament angler, so I can't give up my smaller lures just yet.
To stay on topic, if I could choose only one it would be a trick worm because I can fish it on the bottom (c-rig/t-rig), middle (weightless with a wait and twitch or wacky), or topwater (fast twitch through pads or grass) with confidence.
Off topic: Where do you fish swim baits in FL? I use them in Rodman sometimes, but most of the water I fish seems too dark. Do the larger bait's "thump" make up for the stain in most FL waters?

I havent yet picked the 1 best for me. But the last month or so I have had great success with chatterbaits. A weedless chattercraw(black), and it hasent really shown me a target size fish for the bait, I get all different sizes. I got a top 5 five with that one. Other than that 90% of my bass fishing is with Strike Kings , rage tails, and rage craws. Love Em.

plastic worms it doesnt matter the brand i live and die by 4" yum dingers others love sinkos but wacky style has always been the way for me ....or a mepps spinner as #2 not just for lb but for all around ,multi specie grabber...I had also modified a few mepps with a single hook so you can add a plasic trailer like a worm or live bait too..
fish on...

No. 1 - Pearl white zoom super fluke. I love to dance it across the surface then let it die.
No. 2 - Zoom speed craw, rigged anyway your imagination allows you.
No. 3 - 5" or larger senko or senko knock off, the bass pro ones work well for me.
Oops! that's 3...... sorry.

YOU CANT beat a original rapala blue minnow!!!!my father taught me to fish with one when i was young and i still use it to this day, and it has never failed me. i even lost it on a monster bass once and a few days later my girlfriend found it on a lily pad on the other side of the lake. Still stick with my spoons , example went with my buddy a while back. He's one of these guys that has everything in his box, anyways to make a long story short he caught 4 bass and a pike using trying dozen of different things from his box. well I do have a few rapalas in my box along with mepps and some rattle traps, but on this giving day I had one of my spoons on silver plate if I remeber right, long storie short 24 bass 2of them being lunkers and 4pike.

Call me old fashioned, but I still stick with the plastic worm.
I drift fish with my back to the wind in a row boat flipping a Berkley Power Worm that is Motoroil or Green Pumpkin. Rigged texas style with a 1/16 weight resulting in a slow falling lure that makes the tail flutter. I fish the flats in the mornings and evenings when they are feeding, and mid day, stroll by docks and lily pads and throw it/flip it into the shade and watch my line take off.
