How many people can say they would walk 2.1 km on foot to get to walleye? I would and do. I even had days were I walk it back and forth, drilling holes every 100 yards and checking the status in that area through trial and error. One day last week I actually walked 8 kms and lost 2 fish and came up with nadda. Is this satisfying... to most no, to me yes. This is how I get exercise and do the sport I love more then any other. I see people ripping around on quads and sure it would be quicker but what are the benefit's to walking on ice! I can think of a few!#1 It's Exercise. #2 It's quieter. (Im a believer that fish spook easy) #3 On foot is much lighter on the ice. Not as much worry of going through...... but I fish areas with 6-8" minimal. #4 It's better for the enviroment. #5 I FEEL I DID THE WORK MYSELF! Mike :) (3 comments)
