A friend of mine,my father and i decided to camp out on the back of the lake and run trout lines all night,so we packed and headed out.As we approached the boat ramp, we were getting more and more excited about the catfish we could catch in this spot.We loaded the boat and headed out.We arrived at our spot,unloaded the boat and decided to go ahead and start putting out the lines.I pulled away from the bank about 40 yards to put the lines out that way the fire light would shine on our jugs at night and we could tell if we had fish on.My friend started to set the lines out, baiting them as we set them out,we were about 10 hooks down and he said'"wait i think we have a fish on already".I said'"your full of it lets check",well it was a 1 pounder but it was a fish.we were all excited about how fast we got a bite.Night time arrived,my friend fell asleep and my father and i went to check the lines,there were plenty of fish on,the largest a 20 pound blue.we were about 1/2 way through the lines when all of a sudden the whole bank lit up glowing orange and red.I guess my friend got scared and decided to make the fire a little bigger so he could see,never the less we ended up having to check the lines every 30 minutes to get all the fish off,the wind started blowing and blew my shirt as well as our chair into the fire as we were checking lines and some of the stagings got taken off the lines.well we got back to the bank and my father and i got out, as my friend was getting out i said'"grab those other hooks so we can make some more stagings".well he was starting for the front of the boat and forgot the boat was parked on a rocky bank, fell down with a set ok hooks in each hand,didn't get hooked but half his body was in the boat and the other half over the edge of the boat.it was so funny all we could do was laugh,his face was under water and only his ears were sticking out,there were little sticks and moss floating everywhere and nothing but bubbles coming up.we started to get scared as he was under for a while,we were asking each other if we thought we should held him,then all of a sudden he came up laughing really hard and we all started laughing again,now that was an Americas Funniest Video's moment if i ever saw one.All in all in was a good night,lots of fish and a great trip.
