I was ice fishing this past winter in a walleye tournament on the Missouri River. We were slammin the walleyes on jigs and minnows. We had a good bag of fish when suddenly something slammed my line. I knew it wasn't a walleye because it was running all over, it was pulling drag like no other. I finally got it up to the hole, and my dad in one motion gaffed it. It turned out to a 41 inch, 21.8 pound northern pike, by the far the biggest fish of my life. My dad even used to fish the PWT and he never has caught a fish that big. But anyway so we went to weight in and we ended up getting 5th place and I got an extra $75 for my northern for the biggest non-walleye. Sp it ended up being a great day.
