 Hey I recently entered the free tournament coming up, I need some help. This is my first tournament and I am targeting big catfish. Does anyone know of any tips for what kind of bait to use, should i cast in the shade or sun, deep or shallow?

I would go deep in the shade with a canadian worm. dont use anything else. make sure your worm is tied neatly and make it hard to get off.
