 I have had one of the most successful days of fishing in my life today and it just kept getting better... See i grew up in the country next to a little creek and that was all i knew untill we got a boat, so of course the fish were small and so was the rods and lures... but now I have my own boat and I realize that there is a whole lot that I still dont know about fishing... I'm learning something new everyday that I'm on the water, like big fish like big lures and that most of the time a bass will choose a natural color than some off the wall, far out, retro alien color like "tangerine apple disco pie"... So yeah, I was using a Bomber Model A, natural shad coloration today and I couldn't stop pulling in the 4 and 5 pounders, and in very open, dingy water... I mean these fish were hitting harder than Mike Tyson... And another thing that suprised me was the reaction I was getting from the Stike King Sexy Swimmer, who would have thought that a 7 inch lure would make very large fish explode into a frenzy... Not this young farm boy who is used to using Rooster Tails and rubber worms... I guess its time to upgrade my rods, reels, tackle box, technique and fishing mentality...
