Many times I have been fishing and have noticed balls of fishing line strewn along the banks of lakes and rivers. Not only is this irresponsible but it is also a hazard for wildlife that stroll the banks of your favorite lakes and rivers. Ever been walking along and all of a sudden your dragging 10 yards of mono behind you? Annoying isnt it? The line gets tangled around animals feet as well as yours and has the ability to cut off the circulation in animals "getawaysticks." It only takes a moment to gather up the line and toss it in a trash can or better yet dont throw used line on the ground in the first place just because you got a birds nest in your baitcaster rig. A little conservation goes a long way. Next time you see a bundle of line on the shore, think of the natural wildlife that frequent the areas you fish. The animals will thank you for it.
