I was bored and decided it was a nice September day to do some fishing. I brought along one of my best friends and he was glad to come. We went out to my uncles pond and were fishing all day. We'd only caught a couple bluegill, but knew there was more out there. I cast out with a simple worm. It hit and it was a small 2 pound largemouth bass. I then got excited knowing there was much more out there and quickly tied on a spinnerbait. I threw it out a few times and was trolling it in slowly when i saw a 1-2 pounder jump out of the water. I knew there was something chasing it so i cast there before my friend could. I reeled slow til i was nearly 8 feet off the waters edge when something struck hard. And i mean Hard. I thought i was snagged, but knew there was always a possibility it was a fish. After all it was a cheap spinner anyway. I gave a nice tug to set the hook and what do you know it went the other way. I was reeling and reeling, staying even until i couldnt reel anymore. I finally got him in and my friend grabbed the net. He was jumping up and down more excited than i was. I thought it was just a carp for some reason, so i wasn't to excited. When I took a good look at it i was jumping too. It was a 5 lb. 20 inch largemouth. Just then my uncle came up on the quad and was really impressed. He in fact didnt even know he had bass in there. Ever since then, my mom's heard nothing but fishing since. Tell me what you think please.
