As most anglers know, barametric pressure can greatly affect the fishing condition. We all know the moon phase also has alot to do with it as well as water temprature. Here in Sunny yet Rainy South FL. theres a 50% chance its gonna rain everyday. In a light rain in the spring in summer time it wonderful to fish in. I never use live bait and havent in over 30 years. Rainy days are my topwater days. Poppers, Buzzbaits, Twitch Baits and Spinner baits on the surfice. I always have 4 -5 rods rigged with different types of lures in many colors. ACTION of your lure can sometimes be the key. To fast or to slow on a retreive can not get you strikes. Dont get me wrong. I wacky rig and dropshot and jig when needed but topwater is the most extreme for me. I always purchase a few of the same lures everytime I buy. Just in case. I know most of you know what I mean. In the glades I only use braided line. I have lost tiny bass under 20 pounds of hydrilla. It lasts forever. Spend a bit more and use fireline, powerpro are whatever braid you like. IT'S WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! As for saltwater, braid is the only thing I use as well with a leader made of flurocarbon tied with a bimmini twist or a no name knot = Reverse Albright !!!! Happy fishin everyone!!!!!
