Wow, I just read an article on Laredo's local news website(KGNS) and they were talking about the current lake levels at Lake Casa Blanca. Lake Casa Blanca is a lake that was created back around 1954 by damming up the Chacon Creek. The only water that feeds the lake comes from rain and the water run off that comes from ranches north of the lake. Current drought conditions in Laredo have caused the lake levels to drop. I can't believe when I read the part of the article that mentions that the State of Texas Parks Dept will consider an emergency closing if lake levels continue to drop. Anyone out there know of a rain dance that might work. I'm willing to dance in boxers if I have too. I would hate to think that I might have to drive sixty miles to go fishing.
