 This past weekend we went camping at our 5th. State Park in Mississippi. And like all the others we have been to, it was just as beautiful. We took our 1 ½ year old grandson. I went out and bought him his first fishing pole and tackle box. I took some of my old baits and took the hooks off and put them in his box. I know that he’s kind of young but I couldn’t wait anymore. He had a blast. He would take his tackle box and put it beside mine and say, Paw-Paw’s box and Gage’s box. When I took him out in the boat all he wanted to do was go fast. When I caught that first fish he was in awe. After that he would keep pointing to the water and saying fish. He didn’t catch one this time but it is a memory that I will have forever. Can’t wait till he’s big enough to go with me all the time. I guess what I’m trying to get out is don’t leave those kids at home, take them fishing. It’s how everlasting memories are built.
