A few thoughts about our community. What a great community we have! And this from the rank-and-file all the way to the Bounty administration. As a member of Bounty since August 2007, I have witnessed the growth of the community, not only in numbers, but in the way members reach out to one another and support each others in ways other than providing mere fishing techniques, comments on photos, or wishing each other good luck in a tournament. Where else would you see a member write a check to another for a lost rod? Or where the administration reached out in a moment of need to one of their own and replaced the broken rod? Or where a stranger would invite you to spend a few days with them, needing to bring nothing except myself? Or where another wants to set up a website for you at no charge? I could go on and on and on...the Bounty angels know who they are, and there are many! This phenomenon can only happen on our website where everyone is so impassioned about their sport and unfailingly goes to great lengths to lend a hand to perfect strangers and pay it forward. This could never happen on Facebook or any other social networking site! It makes me wonder that perhaps if everyone in the world fished it might be a better place! As I have been planning a trip this summer across Northern Ontario, the hospitality, support, and assistance of certain members who have reached out and offered support has been overwhelming, and I am both humbled and grateful by their gestures, and look forward to meeting each of them on their home waters. This is the real spirit of angling, and the Bounty community is a true fraternity of fisherman. I am proud to call myself a member of this community! God Bless each and all of you! ARI
