 With yesterday being the last day of the month and the last day of the records tournament I figured I would take one more shot at the smallmouth bass record.In my area the largemouth are not very big but you can catch some very nice smallies and lots of them.I woke up and got on the computer and mapped out my trip ,check all the fishing reports and had some A+ smallmouth spots to go to that where I knew I had a good chance.with it being Sunday I made sure I went to church first and after church was over that was when My 4 yr old (my #1 fishing buddy) asked if she could come with me(she just came up to me now and ask me to put fishing shows on I hope she doesn't loss this love for fishing) and I have a real hard time telling her no so she came with me and that changed everything because all the places I go for smallies she can't go because with not having a boat some of the places can be dangerous for her.So I came up with a new plan and I will tell you what it was a much better one.Me my fiance and our 4yr old had a great day together and my first favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and my second is fishing and when I can do both of them together nothing tops it ( I also have a 13 yr old daughter and I wish she would come with us that make it so much better).We hit a couple of our usual spots and had a great day Andrea caught a couple sunnies and a couple of rock bass and Emmy caught a couple sunnies and I caught about 15 rock back up to 9 inches and a 11 inch smallmouth it wasn't the record breaker I wanted but that doesn't matter because there is record that I could break that would make me feel better then spending time with my family and teaching them to fish but the best is at the end of the day when my little girl tells me how much fun she had and that she loves me and loves when I take her fishing.
