 Hello all,

I have been fishing hardcore for about 5 months now . And my good friend bassindow(Pete) told me about this site and have been enjoying every minute of it. But today takes the cake for me, I was fishing the Indian River lagoon after work . I had a line out with a live mullet, another with a live shrimp and a chatterbait lure line I was casting out. It was a little windy but i was back fishing of the shore and had enough trees to break the wind . I was reeling my lure in and about 6 feet away from the bank. It hit and hit hard. i almost lost my Rod and reel. It was like something on TV, the fish was jumping way out of the water two and three times, My nerves were going crazy I didn't want to lose it . I was thinking this is what fishin is all about in my head. All the money you spend and the times you can't even catch something to save your life. It all comes to this . this is the moment you wait for. I was so on edge about landing this fish. and as soon as I got him above dry land he came lose. But I did it. I landed my first tarpon and I am so proud of myself. Only more from here fellow anglers , Because today I lived the dream and know why we are who we are and love doing what we do. What a great feeling!
