I went fishing in this decent creek called Floyds Fork, in Kentucky. I left a trail that was following the creek. I found this small spot were i had some room to cast. Well i came up to within 5-6 ft of the shore and i noticed a huge tree stump with roots going down into the water. So i set my gear up, threw my black rooster tail, silver blade 1/2 oz spinner bait about 10 ft past the stump. My bait was about 4 ft from the roots and suddenly i see a dark blurr. Then the fight was on. He would take my line out and i would pull him back in. It was really intense. It felt like we fought about 3-5 mins after i got him in i figured he was a 4-5 pound fish and he was a monster!. Not bad considering my gear was 8lb pole with 6lb line!. The Kevin Van Dam videos ive been studying really paid off. I didnt have a camera on me but i went back the next day and caught one about 3lbs and ill put the pic up in a little bit. PEACE!
