 we were fishing at a pay lake on the fourth of july. i was the only one getting any bites. the others with us weren't getting any and they got restless and decided to go try another lake. i decided to stay by myself. i called them 2 way and asked how they were doing. nothing yet. then i got a big bite on my pole and it stayed on. so i grabbed it and set the hook..i worked and worked to bring it in...i kept yelling for someone to come help. after i get it to shore my friend christina came and got the net and helped bring it on shore. took him up to the bait shop, weighed him in and got my picture with it. he was a 14lb shovelhead catfish. i was so proud. so was my husband, who still never caught anything that night. i finally outfished him....lol
