Went fishing on 3/12/2008 to Lake Perris CA and tried to get some trout for eating later. Set up my poles on 4pound test w/a pole holder. I got kinda bored so i decided to drop shot some robos and plastics. I was getting 2-3.5pounders left and right. wow, and i even tried a blown night crawler on a drop shot and on my second cast i felt a hard tap,tap....BAM! the fight was on. My line just went out like crazy(love that sound)so I called my friend over to bring the net cause my arm was getting tired after 3-4 mints and i was only using 4pound test. It ended up being a 7pounder, but sure felt bigger. ANywho, that's my aswome storie for the week of fishing. I'll have more soon. Tight lines everyone!

Nice story, here's a story I wrote not to long ago on a different fishing forum. Enjoy! The perfect fish. That's what makes fishing fun. Everytime we go out the perfect fish is what we would like to experience. But as we all know it just doesn't happen that way. Chances are if you've been an angler for some time you've already experienced the perfect fish. Perhaps several times. Catching the perfect fish starts out as thoughts in your mind. You first think of what you will fish for, where your going to fish, what bait you'll use, what colour, how deep to fish, and so on . There are several different factors to consider. Your success depends on how much you know about the fish you are going after. When you have most, or all the key points in place chances are you'll catch fish. The perfect fish to me is first off finding the fish in the place I know it should be . I go to the spot , put on the lure I know it will go after, and make my cast . And bamm!! There it is!! It really gets the heart going. It wouldn't be a perfect fish if it didn't rip some line off your reel and make a couple jumps. It makes it all that much better when it's at first light and the water's like glass. It doesn't get any better than that. This weekend marks the 28th annual Trenton Walleye World Fishing Tournment on the Bay of Quinte .Thousands of die hard hungry anglers will be hitting the water in search of the perfect fish. The one that tips the scales and puts them at the top of the leader board . The lucky one to catch the perfect fish and end up at the top of the leader board will take home a brand new Lund boat, motor, and trailer, valued at about $15,000 . I say lucky one ,because that's just what it is, Luck. To catch the biggest fish. It's a lottery game. To be the one that has the right bait, at the right spot, at the right time, at the right speed, right in front of that big boys face to hit it, is luck . Sure, we know the fish are still in the river for the most part. And, that alot have moved out to start feeding in order to regain thier strength . We also know the best time to catch the big one is through the night and before sunrise . And, to work weed lines and drop offs. So ,you may think that puts the odds in our faver, until you get out there and try it . So that's why it's called fishing instead of catching . Whether I catch the big one or not, I'll sure be glad I'm back out on the water wetting my line . Good luck, fish hard and have fun. Russ.
