Well I am going to tell you the story of my fish. At 8 am I walked down to lake gordon fished the bank and caught nothing and not even got a bite. At 10 I walked down to lake gordon and got 1 bite and missed him. At about 12 I walked down to lake gordon with my cousin and brother and my cousin missed 1 and nobody else got a bite. We got back at about 2 and asked my aunt to take us to lake ruth. She took us and we fished for about 40 minutes with my brother only catchong one. I switched to a frog and started fishing behind them in areas they have already been to. I got on the side of the lake and was just about to give up on my frog, but then i seen this huge mouth come and swallow my frog. I immediantley set the hook but i couldnt reel in because my drag is loose. I hollered at my cousin and he came and was about to tighten my drag but then the fish took off and made a final dash to live. he went about 12 foot out and then he was tired and i reeled him in after my cousin tightned the drag. I called my aunt to come bring a cooler and some ice but instead she just brought a cooler and took us to the tackle store. we weighed him there and it said he was 9lbs 2 oun. I put him in ice and then went back to fish but i couldn’t keep my hand from shaking enough to throw out so i watched my cousin and brother fish but they caught nothing. we went to my aunts house and my uncle who is also in the Big Fish Club was there and we made fun of my cousin because hes in the No Fish Club. My neighbor likes taking pictures of fish so we walked down to her house and took all the pictures and then we drove to the taxodermist and he weighed it and came up with 9.5 lbs and said they always lose 1 lb from stress. It will cost about 200 dollars to get it mounted. This is a milestone in my life, this was a lifetime goal and im 15 and achieved what it takes some people to do in 30 years. Pole: Berkley Lightning Rod medium-heavy 6ft

Reel: Shimano Cruxis

Line: 17lb berkley braided line

dont remember what brand the frog is but it floated and was black with green patches.
