 Went out to Silver Lake, near Bucksport Maine second time I've gone there. (went last week) Last week after fighting a very large Smallie I lost him at the boat when he made a last minute run under the boat, then took off and got snagged around something, Oh well great fight and whole lot of fun. Yesterday had just got the boat in the water, was waiting for Father in law to get squared away and I cast a 4" floating Rapala rainbow, in between two sets of lily pads. I let it set 3 seconds and gave a small jerk BAM! At first I thought Smallie, but he never surfaced so I knew it was a Pickerel but I wasn't ready for the size, when he came up to the boat I saw how big he was, (est 28' to 32") I was using 10 lb test and he gave one big shake of his head and bit right through that line. So I am now renaming Silver Lake to lost trophy's lake LOL. Still caught 7 fish most small pickerel and 8"-10" bass and one Yellow perch. It has been raining non stop here for 3 weeks now starting to cool off maybe they will start getting active. Thats all for now. Remember Jesus said "we all need to be fisherman!"
