So, July 3rd of this year I decide to drive to Lake Du Bay and slay some musky. It was a very warm morning, but slightly overcast. I have always wanted to fish this lake and never had the chance. I saw some sunken stumps off of highway 34 and thought, "that's where the big ones are." So I launched my boat with the highest of hopes of catching big toothy. I was there no more than an hour I had made some casts between some fallen logs and exposed logs, when all of the sudden the watered erupted in chaos. I was using a bigger buck tail. I figured, well here we go, i finally hooked into my first musky. So I started reeling like there was no tomorrow. "Man this fish is coming in pretty easily," I get it to the boat only to be disappointed! It was a 22" Blue Cat....weirdest fishing experience ever!
