Well folks now is the time to exchange your rod and reel for a more basic approach on fishing. Well that is if your from the north! I'm so excited to get out and venture out into wilderness retreats that remained untouched all spring summer and fall long. I long for that powerful tug on my line by a huge Brook Trout, Laker,or Splake! In about a week or two I hope to head out for some first ice splake fishing. But the biggest caution this time of year is to make sure ice conditions are safe!! Don't venture out onto lakes or area's you are unfamiliar with! Experience is an asset! I hope to share some wonderful stories and pictures with all of you of some nice ice fishing trout! Well take care for now all and be safe!
