 It was just at sundown as I got to a spot along the Moira River in Belleville, had a bucket of minnows, worms and a bobber. As I was putting a minnow on my hook I see in the water a pretty big beaver probably 3 1/2 feet long swimming in my direction. I have had many beavers come up, sometimes they will smack there tail a few times or stay quite a distance away from me, not really being a threat to each other, they usually carry on with what they do!!! Not this bad boy he kept coming and I kinda frooze and stood up as I did that, this beaver hissed pretty loud at me and kept coming.... now I decide to back up leaving my minnows and tackle bag sitting there..... I found some big rocks and decide to not use them as a weapon, never hurt an animal unless it was for my life, so I smashed it off the ground trying to scare it away somehow!!! It wouldnt budge but knew it had me on the run and kept coming so I just decided to walk off for a while hoping it wouldnt touch my bag, didnt really care about the minnows at this time!!! Come back 5 minutes later and it's sitting in the water in front of my stuff, so I mustered up the courage to dash for all my stuff and just move further down the bank....... took me about 10 seconds of planning and I ran grabbed my bags trying not to look at the beaver..... it worked I was out of there!!! Went to a spot prolly 200 yards away and low and behold I see the same dam beaver come in my direction....... I give up! I decided to move away from that area all together and finally got a few fish!!!! Gotta love the beavers!!!!
