Salmon (CA)

 I had the recent fortune to fish the Fraser River in British Columbia for a week. Our target for the first three days was the white sturgeon. This is to my knowledge the largest freshwater fish we have in Canada. Having fought numerous salmon in the past I thought I was well prepared. My sore arms soon told a different story as fish after fish tested me. They were big and strong and they had the current of the river to aid them. Needless to say once one was landed I can say I have never fought a stronger fish. Our group of seven is already planning a return trip to battle these colossal fish. If you get a chance I would highly recommend it. We caught them from 22" up to 7'6" and 290lbs!
