 It's about time! I'm getting to do some fishing again. I went to a small lake last evening here in Montevallo to try out a couple of new top water lures. Air temp was in the low 80's and the sky was clear. The fishing started off a little slow, I could raise the bass and get them to chase the lure, but I couldn't get them to strike. I tried several different top water lures and it wasn't until I put on a perch patterned floating rapala that I started getting hits. Over the next hour and a half I caught a little over thirty fish. The size wasn't great though. The largest was about a pound and a half. Tomorrow I'm heading out to Lay Lake for the 1st time on my little two man Predator. It should be fun and hopefully I catch some nice fish!
