Well the Fall LOC Derby has come to a close with a 31+ lb. taking the largest overall fish. The fish in the salmon division ( 20 places ) were seperated by only 3+ lbs. from 31+ down to 28+lbs. Overall it was a great tournament fishing off Sandy Creek. The Kings were as close as 50 fow and out to 500. Steelhead/Rainbows , of couse, stayed offshore for the most part but offered good action when we fished them. A few Coho started to show up this week with our largest being 15lbs. Our personal best was a 28.9 lb. male King boated by my girlfriend Cindy. Her fish took the" bigest of the day " prize in the derby for Saturday 9/2. This fish did everything possible to get off by jumping, coming back at the boat, diving under the boat and passing the boat. Cindy did a great job keeping up with this fish. All in all it was a great time with some great fish being brought aboard. Good Luck to all, Pat (0 comment) |
