 I got up at 5am looking forward to a couple of hours at a spillway that has been opening after the rains. The wife and kids where to meet me in a few hours, when i arrived at the spot ,apparently several other boats had the same idea.So after rethinking my game plan i decided to go fish a different area untill the wife calls. The bass where only hitting shiners,the bite was on ,I fished for about an hour, must have caught 15 fish, biggest 3lbs.Picked up the family, made a little run,then tied up in this area that looks like a dead end but has a small pass through it that causes a current. We caught alot of fish,my little girls love playing in the live well with the bait more than fishing ,a nasty storm started to brew so i dropped the family off and headed back to where i put in ,when i got back, because of the storm the spillway was empty, I tied up and on my first cast I got an 8lbs 23inch bucket mouth,what an end to a greatday;
