Went fishing in cityisland 7-11-08 on a skiff from jacks bait and tackle.Headed out 6 am and after driving for a little bit i see bunker gettin boiled to the surface and fish breaking through the thick bunker schools.I snagged a bunker and got slammed by a monster bluefish about 12 lbs and my friend hooked caught a bluefish right away.We stay on the bunker schools and i snagged another bunker and sent him to the bottom and a striped bass just slammed hard and i fought the fish for 10 mins and got him on the boat.He was about 30 lbs.And i caught another bass in the low 20lb class.My friend slammed into a nice 30 lb bass also.So we ended up wit 3 bass the 2 bigger ones were over 40 inches and alot of blues.It was a crazy day with action all day with million bunker everywhere.Total chaos.
