well i have to start by saying my best birthday was when i turned 28 and my sun turned 5 we were having a family fishing day an my dad and sun and i got loaded up and took of to meat the rest of the family at out privet fishing hole we got there and every body settled in in there usual place'sun like me I'm a big time fan of bass fishing so i move a lot and I'm always on the look out for bass movement . well the lake was lower than normal that year by about a foot or two and i was standing on the dam at the edge the water and about 30 foot out was the drain pipe and the water was constantly swirling just at the surfs of the water at first i was thanking it was the suction of the pipe thin i noticed smaller fish kept jumping as they went around the pipe so i grabbed my trusty plastic worm the only one i buy . so i started preceding to cast out to the pipe and never got a hit thin i told my self one more cast and if nothing thin i would give up on it so i casted and thought oh no bad mistake i through right over the top if the pipe the only thought in my head was i hung so i puled he line up until i felt the sinker bump the top edge of the pipe and i eased my rod down and gave it a hard tug thanking to my self duck but i didn't have to the weight of the sinker bade the lure make a perfect bounce to the side of the pipe that was safe for me to reel it in and no sooner than i got about 3 cranks on the reel it took of state to the bank thought oh no because i knew by the way it was running and pulling that it was small so i went for the drag so it would break my line wile trying to fight it away from the bank . all i could here was the family cheering me on hollering get him git him at the same time i could hear the drag on the line wine but i got lucky and for him down before the bank and as he got closer to me i had two of my uncles asking what i needed i told one to get the other rod out from under me before i stepped on it and i told the other to get the net but before the net got there i got it to the bank so i grabbed him by the lip and hosted him up it was a 12 pound one ounce large mouth bass witch is on my wall to day of course it made some of the family proud and some mad at me but that's how it goes
