I've been bass fishing for many years, but never had a day like this one day last spring. There is a med sized city pond, that I knew had some bass in it. I stopped by after work, tied on a floating minnow, and started to cast parallel to shore about five feet out. I at first used a steady retrive, but in about ten casts only caught one bass. Then I switched to a surface twitching motion, and the bass, mostly small, starting hitting, and hitting, and hitting! I kept count as allways, and in 2 hours and going all the way around the pond, one time only, I caught one large black crappie, and fourty eight bass! A few nice bass in the mix but mostly small ones, but man was that fun! Great way to end a work day!
