Went fishing on June 17 with my good friend Jason Brown. We were fishing for cat fish and he got his line caught up on some shrub when he tried to yank it out of the shrub the 3 oz. weight came back and hit him in the I. Unfortunately after the doctors treated him and sewed his eye ball back together the specialist said that they would have to take the eye out due to not being able to see and the eye not retaining water. So remember do not yank on a line that is hung up just cut the line, its not worth trying to save a 1.50 in tackle.

Good luck fishing and may you catch the big one!

Sounds painful. Very true though i was crappie fishing last year in a small farm pond when i hooked into a turtle and as i pulled to shore the hook straightened out and popped me right in the forehead...ironic, a jighead in the forehead...anyway sometimes a guy needs to remember that when he's fishing he always needs to look out to duck.

Yikes, that's aweful. I was fishing on the Kenai about 5 years ago during the Silver run but the river was just full of Pink salmon, you couldn't hardly cast without snagging one. Anyway, I snagged about a 12lb. pink in the back and was dragging it against the current to the boat when the Vibrax pulled out and headed straight for my head, luckily I turned and the hooked got stuck in the back of my head instead of in my eye. Had to do the old line yank trick to get it out since the barb was buried. Good advice though, some strange and quirky things happen while fishing so just be aware and always be careful.
