Fishing to me is all about the anticipation of that next bite, the curiosity, as to who will catch the big one, and the thrill of the fight! I'm not living unless I'm fishing!! I FISH, THEREFORE I AM!! http://youtube.com/user/RFBtv

 Are Fishing Magazines Worth It?

This is an interesting question when one actually thinks about it. There are many anglers out there who have spent a lot of money on subscriptions for fishing magazines. But do they offer the bang for the buck. From my personal experience I believe they are worth the asking price. “Knowledge is power” and such holds true when it comes to fishing. The more information one can gather the better the day on the water. Fishing Magazines do sometimes offer introductory information. However, it doesn’t hurt to refresh ones memory. The mind has a hard time remembering every single detail. A little refresher of forgotten information can play a key role in your next outing. Yet, fishing magazines do offer a lot of information that people may not have ever known. I’ve gathered countless number of new techniques which I have applied on my fishing trips. I can learn about new lures when I read these magazines. Essentially, one is able to see what is “hot” in the fishing industry. They show what fish are biting on this year! Bottom line, fishing magazines are worth it. They rejuvenate our minds by reminding us of old techniques that we may have forgotten. They enlighten anglers of new techniques, lures, and what fish are biting on. Do I plan on ending my current subscriptions anytime soon? Definitely Not!

fishing magazines...hunting mags.......are more than just info and articles with respect to any aspect of the outdoors.....for my tastes........too many ads.......and too many ads with nothing to do with the outdoors...editors in large cities making financial ideas......on how to sell next months subscription...i see more hype than help these days.......some show pictures that have less then anything to do with the outdoors...you really got a read between the lines now for some actual factual more than one photo or eyefull of genuine help...live online forumns like this this..and many others....much faster and from real people ...with real ontime photos...info i use...tw

Fishing magazines are great because they let you approach fishing techniques the pro's use. But nothing you can't find online.
