Smallmouth bass with carp coming in a close second, but I like fishing for it all.
Most Memorable Fish
My first carp I caught. A 32 in. rare fully scaled Mirror Carp. It was my first time carp fishing and I was on a creek I fished for bass my whole childhood. Check it out in my pics!

Sweet on the carp bro! How are things in the sun, man I hope you can do some fishing down there! Went out on Sunday and fished for 6 hours below shep bridge , caught 55 fish, 53 of them smallies! Average was 12 ", biggest was about 17". Dropped in the water trying to get a picture of of it. Lets hit it next week-white and chartreuse grubs! Catch something down there to make me even more jealous of that nice carp! Cant wait to see the pic!

Yeah...I'm from Florida. Mainly fish around the sebastian area. That was the biggest snook I have ever caught. It had to weigh 30+ lbs. I have caught redfish that size and this snook seemed to weigh more and 40" reds weight around 30 lbs. If you want to catch a snook over slot use a "BIG" mullet. 8" even 10" mullet aren't too small. You won't get as many hits but when you do it will be a quality fish.

dude D.C. is in Maryland, it is right beside Baltimore. Tim Hagan lives about 45 minutes outside of D.C. in Walkersville Maryland. He'll take you to the Potomac River right in or outside of D.C. The river will definately be unfrozen. I caught that blue in my pic on 1/20/08. Wherever you visit in Maryland you should hook up with Tim. He'll meet you and take you to the Potomac just for the day. This way you won't have to stay in D.C. on your break. Tim Hagan is pretty well known in the Blue Catfish world, give him a call. D.C. does have a liitle crime, but you will be ok if you're just fishing there! I've done it a couple of times

Change of plans. Im coming to Maryland for march Break. Apparently DC is too dangerous. so I might fish with tim hagen the guide you sent me. Is the river unfrozen during march?

If you fish in D.C. for blues, use cut up gizzard shads. We catch them by gill netting or fishing shad darts
