I am one of Daniel's "peeps". I thought about you wed.afternoon....rain and wind just didn't let up in Raleigh. I hope that your spot was out of the wind like you were hoping. But it looks like you had some decent success. Anyway, I am sure I will see you on the lake sometime soon.
I don't know what I was thinking going to our favorite largemouth hole yesterday! Probably should have been under the 64 bridge at Jordan with the rest of the crappie fisherman! Although I did find a good pattern for next weeks tourney! Congrats you got me by one again, although I'm worried about my crappie hanging on to the leaderboard! Maybe one day I'll get ya if I keep nipping at your heals long enough! Ha.....
You can still catch them from mid twenties to 50+ inches right now, but November is really the peak. The stripers are here now and while they are big, 25-50 pounds, they don't fight nearly like a drum. December is a busy month for me and getting to the beach is almost impossible for me. I spend alot of October and November on the sand so I gotta pay for it now.
i believe the crappy weather we had here worked its way up the east coast, to your area, 22.3/4 wouldn't have lasted long a month ago!! thanks mother nature!!!!!
Everything is good....been at the beach...only got to fish once in 30 mph NE winds. Worst conditions possible for here. Caught 25 bass biggest just under 20 inches. Any other Nov. 5-8 pounders are everywhere......congrats and thank mother nature.
I was just curious since it looked like you were in a bathroom.......as long as it's legal doesn't matter to me what happens to a bass. I let them all go, because I only eat saltwater fish and Bass taste as much like as mud, as mud.
it only weighed about 9lbs and i released it in the canal at the end of my street good clean area(lots of babys in march) i have never eaten a bass! saltwater fish only for the family ,i cant eat fish(alergic to all seafood !!!!) im big on catch and release!
Sorry just noticed the comments thingy........I live about five minutes from a great lake and have about 7 other lakes and rivers I fish within 30 minutes. I go a lot but only short trips....early morning, late evening etc...... I have an understanding wife and a lot of family close by to help watch the kids....
As far as notes and bass....I use basic lures, spinnerbaits mostly but I also live bait fish a lot which accounts for a lot of the bigger bass I catch. And goin' in hard....is there another way? I thing the idea behind this site is great and could work if the ugly side of human nature doesn't appear.......I figure it will so I will fish it hard til it does.....good luck guys........
Do you want to compare notes? I'm just curious to know what your bass "GO-TO" ; lure, worm, ect. is. If you are interested in comparing techniques let me know. Although I have been fishing close to 25 years, I am a 'new school' angler. I think you have to keep up with new technology as not to miss anything.
I understand we are so-called competitors, but I am always up for new knowledge.
