People from the south: Different type of Crappie. In the south the bigger ones are called White crappie, these are black crappie which I think you guys have too.

no in the south we call a White Crappie a Crappie that is of the WHITE CRAPPIE SPECIES and we call a Black Crappie a BLACK CRAPPIE as it is of the BLACK CRAPPIE species. Those you have are Black Crappie, not based upon their size but simply based upon the fact they are of the Black Crappie Species.
